As an only child living with a single mother who was struggling with mental illness and alcoholism, I quickly learned that the way to flourish in any environment was to help people with their emotions. I grew up, honing those skills and learned to excel in school.
Pursuing my love of education and satisfying my empathic heart, I decided to go to college to become a psychologist. In my second year I took a nutrition course, and in our textbooks there was one page dedicated to the topic of eating disorders. I was instantly fascinated and felt a deep calling to immerse myself in this work.
I told my professor, Mr. Harris and as the first male to speak confidence into me, he told me “you can do anything you want to do.” That day, I signed up to become a nutrition major and I’ve loved every day of my career path ever since.

I’m an ambitious, passionate professional committed to helping others understand how their relationship with food impacts their relationships with themselves and with others in life. “What we do in our food is congruent with what we do in life.”
I’ve enjoyed many roles in my life: CEO, podcast personality, nutrition therapist, author and coach but my favorite is being a mom of three amazing children.
I love nature, yoga, running, hiking, laughter, the moment the sun begins to set, the space and time when a person figures something out they haven’t known before, good food, good friends and the ocean.
In short, I’m a complex, dynamic person just like you, and I have dedicated my life to helping others overcome emotional eating.

I am a pioneer in the field of Food Psychology, a best-selling author, recognized speaker and podcast personality, currently hosting a show entitled, Overcoming Your Emotional Overeating.
For over 30 years I have brought my expertise to both individuals and groups alike moving others to find their true “why behind the what” that they are eating.
Professionally speaking, I have also opened four of my own successful, thriving businesses, as well as coaching and mentoring more than 20 other businesses to achieve outstanding purpose driven results.
I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a graduate degree in Counseling and Education with certifications in NLP, grief coaching, eating disorders, trauma and various facets of life and business coaching.
